PLEIN AIR PAINTING
There is nothing I enjoy more on a beautiful day then to work outdoors on a Plein Air painting. I have worked on paintings from the Colorado Rockies to the Caribbean Islands, to the Catskill Mountains of NY and onto the rocky coast of New England. My paintings have been exhibited in many solo, juried and group exhibitions.

NEW ENGLAND ROCK SERIES - TIDAL POOL SERIES - FLORIDA CLUSTERS
I began working on my New England Rock Series by spending my free time working on site among the rocky tidal pools of Rhode Island during low tide. I found an array of colors, shapes and sizes of both living and organic objects to research that I would eventually incorporate into my larger paintings. The New England Rock Series has been exhibited in two solo exhibitions held at the Audubon Society of Bristol, RI, and at the Greenwich Audubon Society of Greenwich, CT.
LARGE LANDSCAPE PAINTING SERIES
After graduating college with a BFA in Art & Design from the Pratt Institute, NY, I received a three month Artist-in-Residency Award from the Woodstock School of Art in Woodstock, NY. It was during this time that I began painting the large landscape series. Four of these canvases were incorporated into the window displays at Macy's Herald Sq., 34th St. NYC. The painting 'In Praise of All Things', was chosen for a 2 year installation at the American Embassy Residency in Sarajevo, Bosnia through the Art in Embassy Program, Washington, DC.

WARHORSE/WARRIOR SERIES III
It was during the Kosovo War of 1999 that I began to paint the 'Warhorse/Warrior Series III'. My paintings tell an illustrated story of the wounded warrior coming home from battle in the Dark Ages and entering into the promise of the 21st Century. In each new painting, the warriors journey continues along the path towards healing and spiritual growth through the personification of his warhorse."
The Warhorse/Warrior Series III was shown in a solo exhibition at the Open Space Gallery in the Newport Art Museum, Newport, RI. This series is available for exhibition and gallery representation.

BOTANICAL & NATURAL SCIENCE ILLUSTRATION
Many years ago while working for a small furniture and holiday crafts company, I learned to paint floral designs on wooden products. I then left this job to relocate to the US Virgin Islands where I took up residency in an old gardener's cottage. It was here that I began to paint tropical flowering plants and trees. Many years later, I wanted to improve my technical skills and enrolled in a Natural Science Illustration Certificate program at the Rhode Island School of Design.
My botanical illustrations have been exhibited in two solo shows at the New York Botanical Gardens, NY and juried select show with the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, NY; the Longwood Gardens, PA in an exhibition on orchid illustrations; and the Poudre Valley Art League’s 33rd Exhibit, Ft. Collins, Colorado. My work has also been shown in two separate solo exhibitions called 'Water's Edge' at the Audubon Society of Bristol, RI and The Audubon Society of Greenwich, CT.
A selection of my illustrations are now available in print at www.stilegalleryshop.com.
