ARTIST AT WORK
Nature has given me a lifetime of beautiful subjects to paint. Whether hiking into the foothills of the Colorado Rockies or sitting along the rocky shores of the New England coast, I have truely enjoyed my painting adventures. I always take along my camera and art supplies just in case there's something amazing taking place such as an expanding rainbow, the drama of crashing waves or while watching a butterfly pump it's wings before taking flight.
IN THE STUDIO
Many of my plein air paintings, working studies and photography make their way back into the studio room as a source for reference while creating larger scale paintings.
PLEIN AIR PAINTING
I fell in love with botanical illustration while residing in an old gardener's cottage in the USVA. Years later, I took a two year Natural Science Illustration Certificate program at the Rhode Island School of Design.
There is no greater gift of wealth and beauty then the natural world on our home planet. It is filled with amazing environments to enjoy. I love working outdoors and exploring the many things associated with the landscape. From mountains to seascapes, rose garden to forest, I enjoy taking photographs, hiking the trails, setting up an easel to paint or to just watch waves come into shore. My Blog will share with you any art events and exhibitions of my work, my photography, journaling and jewelry design. You may also find my work and jewelry designs available on Etsy @ StileGalleryArt or on my other website @ www.stilegalleryshop.com
