ARTIST AT WORK
Nature has given me a lifetime of beautiful subjects to paint. Whether hiking on rugged trails in the Colorado Rockies or sitting along the cliffs of the New England coast, I have truly enjoyed my painting adventures. I pack my bag with a camera and art supplies just in case there's something amazing taking place such as an expanding rainbow, ocean drama of crashing waves or while watching a butterfly pump it's wings before taking flight. IN THE STUDIO
Many of my plein air paintings, sketches, watercolor studies and photography make their way back into the studio room as a source for reference while creating larger scale paintings. |
PLEIN AIR PAINTING
BOTANICAL ILLUSTRATION I fell in love with botanical illustration while residing in an old gardener's cottage in the US Virgin Islands. Years later, I took a two year Natural Science Illustration Certificate program at the Rhode Island School of Design, focusing on the illustration of flowering plants. |

MY JOURNEY AS A FINE ARTIST
As a lover of nature, one of my favorite things to do is to find a peaceful, beautiful setting in order to set up an easel to paint.
